The 10^th Bagmati River Festival was inaugurated on June 5, 2010 at Pashupati Aryaghat. The inauguration and cleanup program was addressed by Mr. Megh Ale, Founder President of NRCT, Ani Choyang Dolma, Singer and Mr. Mahesh Basnet, President- High Power Community for Integrated Bagmati Civilization. Dharma Guru’s from different religion present on the occasion talked about the importance of Bagmati and Rivers on their respective religions.

The collective water from different rivers was poured off in to the Bagmati River with a commitment of reviving Bagmati to its original state. The inauguration program also included group prayer by different Dharma Gurus. The program was concluded with the cleanup of Aryaghat. The peaceful ambience, lighting by Panchakanyas at the Aryaghat and song by Ani Choyang Dolma were some of the highlights of the Program.
